What family is for...
Family is something very important to me. Having love and support from my family is just as important to me as giving love and support to my family and that is why this week, I made sure that this week Stitch's quote in the picture above was true to my life.
My aunt is an incredibly strong and talented woman who has been dealt a very very difficult hand in life. From her childhood it seems the world had it out for her, but she has still managed to be so accomplished. She is currently the single mother of two teens whom she adopted as newborns. Due to their biological problems, they have not always been the easiest to raise even if they are amazing girls and so my aunt has recently been in need of family.
My sister, brother-in-law and I decided to step up to the plate and help her out. At the end of the month she is moving to try to get a fresh start and so the 3 of us decided to give her a head start on the packing and cleaning. Last Thursday and Friday we spent the the day her house rotating shifts of looking after the baby and scrubbed her kitchen clean, packed up the dishes she wouldn't be using and cleaned up her room.
When she got home her spirits were so lifted she has almost high off the energy. Knowing that she had family who had her back and were willing to pitch in when times were rough meant the world to her. And to me it was so nice to see someone who deserved it be happy. Supporting those around you who need it is one of the most loving things you can do, so from now I am making sure my aunt always knows she has my support.
P.S. We left a box of chocolate under her pillow. and we're going back on Tuesday <3
