Workout Routine
Its no secret that I am not the fittest person around, I've never been athletic nor do I ever expect to get to that point but I've recently decided to start working out and getting healthy. I've always admired physically strong individuals and now I am finally determined to become one myself.
I started my health kick by undertaking the '21 day no junk food' challenge meaning whatever is on the list I cannot consume for 21 days (which is the average number of days it takes to form a habit according to scientists). As well as this my diet has tripled the amount of water I normally consume to cleanse my body of all the fat toxins.
These changes have already made a difference in my mood (exercise helps with anxiety...ALOT) as well as helping me get healthier (I've lost 6lbs already). I think the main thing for me is that I am not doing this to lose weight I am doing this to become something I've always admired and that is why I am not losing my motivation and am able to keep it up, I don't know how long exercising everyday will last or if after the 21 days I'll go straight back to chocolate, chips and mac&cheese but I think that this is a first step to a wholesome lifestyle.
What lifestyle changes have you guys done recently and do you have any recommendations for my workout/diet?

The next step was to finally put to proper use the gym clothes I got last summer, though I do not yet feel comfortable working out at a gym I have set my own home routine with what I have. I work on a two day schedule; Day 1 focuses on strength and Day 2 on cardio. Even though this means I workout everyday I don't beat myself up if I happen to miss a day (a girl can only do so much with her motivation levels).
*Day 1:
20 Squats
15 Bench dips
20 Push Ups
25 Sit Ups
*I do these all in a row, only one set
Day 2:
15-25min Elliptical*
or
10-15min Jump Rope
5 Step Exercises
*Fat Burn preset program
Thought I would show you my workout gear, it's all from Target |
