Top 5 Spring Lip Products

As I said in my last post, Spring is finally here. But whilst the feeling of the sun and spring breeze is lovely, it means we have to rotate our wardrobe and makeup and so out with the berry coloured lip products that were for the Fall and Winter season and in with the bright Summer/Spring lipstick collection.
So as I did in the fall I now present you with my top Spring lip products.

Colour Workshop - Unkown
Burt's Bees- Refreshing Grapefruit
Body Shop - 307 Colour Crush
Rimmel Lasting Colour Finish - 610 Sun-Kissed
Elizabeth Arden High-Shine Lipgloss- Golden Red
Colour Workshop, Body Shop, Rimmel, Elizabeth Arden (Burt's Bees is a sheer colour)

If you notice a theme here, theres a lot of coral/pink shades. These types of colour are a brilliant contrast to the warmer berries and shout being ready for the beach and picnics. For me Spring asks for neutral or girly shades and with these top 5 I think I've found a good balance of colours.

So first up is the bright pink that is great with a bold outfit, and looks super with any black number. This particular shade that I have is from colour workshop  which lets face it is not very good brand and I have no idea what the name of the colour is but I love the shade nonetheless and I think its a great statement colour and is definitely a girly one.

The second on my list is just a sheer lip balm, I chose the one from Burt's Bees for this simply because it's the one I have been reaching for but any sheer moisturizer like the EOS balms is perfect for the Summer/ Spring weather, the sun is coming out again and you may need some light SPF lip coverage. But the real reason is that sometimes going natural is just really the best thing, wearing little to no makeup and just a lip balm is great for your confidence and great for your skin. (This one also smells fresh and amazing, I keep it by my night stand so I can put it on in the morning and wake up to a fab smell.

Next up is from The Body Shop, this lipstick is amazingly moisturizing and is a great coral-to-nude shade which is wearable in a simple casual outfit or even in a busy look that needs toned down makeup. The colour crush line has quickly become my favourite simply because of the feel of this lipstick on my lips, it is light and again very moisturizing, I honestly can't emphasize that pointenough. The packaging is also amazing, the reflective silver, I mean that's great, its also very sturdy, I find that sometimes the lid can just come off a lipstick tube and get dirt on it yet I have never had this problem with this one. This shade is just a perfect staple for the Spring and the brand for any season.

Although these products are obviously on the top of my list, I do have a favourite among them and that is the Rimmel Lasting Finish Colour Rush Lipstick. The pigmentation is spot on, a nice bright pink that still stays closer to the nude side on the scale of nude to neon. Like in my fall edition this is the longest lasting one, I can put it on go out, talk as much as I want and even eat without having to worry to much on reapplying. This one is matte but not drying and also smells delicious which is always nice to have a yummy sugar-y smell under your nose.

Last of my top 5 is a lip gloss from Elizabeth Arden in Golden Red. As the name indicates it's a red ( on the pinkier shade) with golden flecks in it. This is just an easy thing to pop in your handbag and to provide a glossy finish to any look, it looks great on its on or layered over and lipstick. It feels sticky when first applying but quickly settles and the slight stickiness fades.

These are my top 5 for the Spring/Summer season, let me know what yours are in the comments and if you yourself share one of my favourites. Until next time I hope you all have a great day <3
