Book of Positivity | Day 3
25-04-2015
I went on a hike today, well 2 days ago once this goes up but I think I shall write as if it was the day of as it makes it alot easier. So the hike was with two of my friends ( Let's call them K and S, they're initials since Im not all that sure they want their name on my blog and because it feels fun and secretive), we went to a corner store and bought some food for a picnic and headed off on our hike, along with K's dog.
It was so nice to do something albeit I did find it hard physically as we went off trail and had to dodge branches and climb over/under fallen trees. We walked to the top of a hill (Though I saw it as a small mountain but according to google the distinction between the two isn't always clear, do any of you know?) which over looked a lake which meant it was a breath taking view and a nice break after the climp up the hill/mountain. After we finished eating and chatting we packed up and left, going down a much much easier route and following the trail this time.
Over the whole 2.5hr walk I only fell about 3 times which is a record, I would have expected alot more often, and the best part is I don't think my friends saw me fall because I was behind them which meant I got to escape embarrassment. (Announcing it on my blog though might ruin my badass score of not falling in front of them because they may be reading this, Hi! if you are)
After we headed over to K's house where we drank juice (which sounds a bit silly to include in a blog post but it was refreshing and tasted nice) chatted some more and just had general banter. S drove me to his house where my mum picked me up and drove me home. That evening it was just my sister and I in the house (well her baby was there but you know...adult wise) and we took advantage of her husband being out of town to watch some chick-flicks. And that's when the soreness from the day set into my legs, you know how after a workout your muscles are sore? Times that by 100 and maybe you'll start to understand how much my legs hurt. I honestly thought I would have to sleep on the sofa because I couldn't bear the thought of doing the stairs and I did nearly cry but after taking some pain killers I got up to bed and went to sleep. You'll be glad to hear my legs are no longer in pain apart from the bruises I got falling.
Although the day in reality was actually quite simple it made me really happy, these kinds of days are so much closer to how I want to live my life. It left me feeling positive and motivated. Catching up with my friends was something I really needed as they're so busy with school it's hard to find time to see them. Basically it was such a good day I decided to immortalize it on another book of positivity post.
See you in three days from now with a book review, until then I hope you have a great few days. <3
