In Your Eyes | Film review
Over the last few days I've had a lot of time to watch some Netflix and yesterday I stumbled on a movie that I really enjoyed and highly recommend.
Overall a great movie, highly recommend to anyone looking for a refreshing feel-good movie.
'In your eyes' is a 2014 film starring Zoe Kazan and Michael Stahl-David as two adults with a psychic link. They lead very different lives, one an ex-con and the other a sheltered and controlled spouse. Their link becomes an escape from their lives and even if they are a country apart they grow very close.
For an independent film, the acting did not stand out as overly cheesy, iin factthe opposite it was highly credible and made for a thoughtful feel-good romance of the likes I have rarely seen. Now I may be over selling this movie but I for some reason found it enticing and was swept away by the characters.
The storyline flowed very well and the script was very believable which hit me as a relief for a indie film that I had previously not heard of.
The only letdown for me in all aspects, was an ending that although was sweet left a minefield of questions. What happens from there on out?
Overall a great movie, highly recommend to anyone looking for a refreshing feel-good movie.
