UrbanDecay NAKED FLUSHED | Review
Hi everyone,
Today I am back with a look into the NAKED Flushed palette (retails at 35 CAD$). Urban Decay has released 3 different Flush palettes which all contain a bronzer, highlighter and blush. The three being; Native, Streak and Strip, however this review will be a focus on the third, Strip. It's taken me awhile to figure out exactly what I want to say about this and to be honest its because I'm not sure how I feel about it.

Packaging ad Pricing: Like all other NAKED products the Flushed palette is compact and sleek, with rosegold writing. It has a magnetic lid and is overall really nice on the outside. However I am constantly finding myself clearing the mirror of power residue, which always leaves the good-sized mirror dirty.
The product retails at 35$CD which is quite reasonable for a 3-component Urban Decay product.
The Bronzer: Urban Decay describes the bronzer as a silky deep shimmery bronzer. I personally love the natural tanned look this gives and though I read some reviews that said it wasn't a great contouring bronzer I haven't found so. It is very powdering and quite pigmented so go light on the brush, you seriously don't need to much. Also if you're not a fan of shimmer bronzers definitely avoid this, it took me a while to get used to the shimmer in it and find a way to make it work with my make-up routine though now that I have I love the 'glow'. (tip: some of the other palettes have a matte bronzer)
The Highlighter: In packaging this champagne highlighter looks wonderful however this is probably what makes me hesitate the most, because the shimmer flecks in this are so substantial it tends to look like you put glitter on your face instead of lightly illuminating the brow bone and cheek bone. So on its own the highlighter it quite disappointing and hard to use however I've recently tried blending the blush and highlighter together (more blush than highlighter) and that has somewhat redeemed it though I can't say I would be purchasing this if it were sold individually.
The Blush: Perhaps the best component of the palette is this pinky mauve blush. It has great pigmentation, amazing blendability and gives a warmth that can go either warm seasons or for colder weather. Being a bit of a blush fanatic and having quite a few in my collection I can honestly say I really do like this one, it blends perfectly giving a natural rose to your cheeks and lasts a long time while not being to bright. It has a bit of its own shimmer but these are just tiny flecks to give it a healthy glow, so if you were looking for a matte blush this one isn't necessarily the way to go.
Overall: Whilst Urban Decay's Flushed didn't quite live up to my expectations it is still a great contouring kit, I would be eager to try the different palettes each of different powder consistencies and
colours to compare them to Strip. If not for the highlighter Strip would be receiving a much more glowing review from me because both the bronzer and the blush have done a great job. Most of the NAKED line has all round fantastic reviews and I think they had led me to have higher expectations for Flushed so whilst it was good it was quite what I had expected, that being said recommending the new NAKED installment is something I would feel comfortable doing just not Strip.
As with all my reviews, leave any further questions about the product in the comments and I will make sure to answer them all.
