Product Review: BioOil
I thought id try something new by doing reviews on products I've really enjoyed using. whether it be food, or beauty products or anything else. To start off with I will be doing one on Bio Oil a hypo-allergenic product which is said to reduce scarring and have many other properties.
First of all i love this. it smells amazing and anyone who knows me knows that i love smelly things. anything thats scented i will spend about an hour just smelling, the bio oil smells like... hmmm how do i explain it, like summer peaches, but i have also heard of so many people who literally cant stand the smell of it, I guess its personal taste (...or is it smell?).
Not only does it smell good but its a great moisturizer, i've been putting it on stretch marks that i got from growth spurts but i know someone who put it on scars that she had from cutting herself during her depression and now looking at her arms there is not a single mark! how blessed is she? I've also heard of people putting it on their face for skin discoloration and acne scars, though i have not tryed this myself because my skin is rather oily in some parts. i have to say that during the winter months i have been quite tempted though.
In terms of texture ( do you say texture? no its consistency), alright in terms of consistency, I find it perfect, a lot of oils are just too liquidy or too thick and sticky, Bio Oil finds a nice medium consistency and leaves no stickiness ( which no one likes). I found it best to follow the instructions and slather it on twice daily, and I saw an improvement with my scars almost immediately (2 weeks).
Price: everyone wants to know about the price, i'm not someone who tends to spend alot of money on beauty/health products, in fact i've just started buying them recently so i have to say i may not be the best judge when it comes to pricing. like i said i dont really spend alot of money on these things, but i did find it slightly pricey but i would say its not a rip off, its definately worth it and i will be buying it again when i run out.
